The Blauburgunder (Pinot Noir) DOC Corax 2023 from Grottnerhof comes from steep vineyards at 450–550 m elevation in South Tyrol’s Eisack Valley. Named after the raven (Corvus corax), the estate’s emblem, this wine reflects a pure, terroir-driven style. After gentle fermentation, it matures for about a year in oak barrels. Visually, it displays a deep ruby-red hue with clarity. Aromas of red berries—such as cherry and raspberry—are complemented by subtle spice and refined oak. On the palate it is dry, structured with smooth tannins, balanced acidity, and a mineral backbone. A refined yet approachable Pinot Noir, full of character and regional precision.
