Nals Margreid Winery
The Nals Margreid winery was founded in 1985 through the merger of the two wineries Nals (founded 1932) and Margreid (founded 1954). The winery is located in Nals, a municipality in South Tyrol, nestled between Merano and Bolzano. This region is known for its excellent conditions for viticulture, characterized by a mild climate and diverse soil structures. Under the expert guidance of winemaker Harald Schraffl, Nals Margreid uses a harmonious combination of traditional craftsmanship and modern cellar technology. This philosophy is reflected in the high quality and variety of wines.
A special feature of Nals Margreid Winery is its focus on sustainability and careful use of natural resources. The grapes come from various locations, which are characterized by their individual characteristics, which gives the wines a particular variety and depth. The winery attaches great importance to the natural cultivation of the grapes and careful vinification in order to express the terroir in the best possible way. The winery's most famous wines include the “Sirmian” Pinot Bianco, the “Nama” Chardonnay and the “Sand” Gewürztraminer. These wines are characterized by their elegance, complexity and clear varietal specificity and are highly regarded internationally.
