Abate Nero
When you talk about Abate Nero, you can confidently speak of the history of classic Trento Doc sparkling wine. A winery that emerged in the 1970s from the work of Luigi Lunelli, who had the idea of creating a sophisticated sparkling wine. The mission is to create a product that can evolve over time; to create a foundation with extreme precision to achieve a unique product.
The decision to extend the aging process on the yeast to allow slow bottle fermentation aims to obtain a refined sparkling wine, with elegant pearls, a good balance of acidity and saltiness, and an optimal expression of the terroir from which it comes.
In fact, it is Lunelli who was one of the founders of the Trento Classico Spumante Association in 1984, which was founded to protect a product that became the symbol of the region and the figurehead of Trentino. He was one of the first to market this sparkling wine, which was previously intended exclusively for personal consumption or local sale.
This passion, patience and, above all, attention to every detail, results in the sparkling wine from Abate Nero, through the effort of purely manual work. Each bottle is the seal of Luigi Lunelli's work and research in the processing of Chardonnay and Pinot Nero grapes, characterized by studies and influences from the French school, but with the indispensable signature of the terroir and the artisans who preserve this identity with love and dedication.
