The Ricasoli winery, whose roots date back to 1141, is inextricably linked to the history of Chianti Classico. In that year, the Ricasoli family acquired the Castello di Brolio and dedicated themselves to winemaking. A significant figure in the family was Baron Bettino Ricasoli (1809–1880), a respected politician and visionary wine entrepreneur. In 1872, he developed the "formula for the perfect wine," which serves as the foundation for today's Chianti Classico.

Today, the winery spans almost 240 hectares of vineyards and 26 hectares of olive groves, nestled in the picturesque landscape of Chianti Classico. Under the leadership of Francesco Ricasoli, the estate combines traditional craftsmanship with modern research to produce wines with a strong territorial identity.

Each bottle reflects the passion, patience, and attention to detail that go into the care of the vineyards and winemaking process. The wines age in carefully selected oak barrels to develop their complexity and elegance. The Castello di Brolio, a landmark of Chianti Classico, was restored in the 19th century by Bettino Ricasoli and is open to visitors who wish to immerse themselves in the history and culture of the winery.
