Arnaldo Caprai is a renowned winery in Montefalco, Umbria, founded in 1971 by Arnaldo Caprai. Originally a successful textile entrepreneur, he acquired 45 hectares of land to realize his dream of owning a winery.
His son Marco Caprai has been running the company since 1988 and has developed it into one of the leading producers in the region through innovative farming methods and modern cellar technology. The winery is particularly known for reviving and promoting the autochthonous Sagrantino grape variety. Through intensive research and collaboration with universities, Arnaldo Caprai has made a significant contribution to unleashing the potential of this grape.
The “Sagrantino di Montefalco '25 Anni'” is a prime example of the quality of the winery and has received several awards. In addition to Sagrantino, the winery also produces other wines such as “Montefalco Rosso DOC”, a blend of Sangiovese, Sagrantino and Merlot, which is appreciated for its balance and elegance.
Arnaldo Caprai attaches great importance to sustainability and environmental protection. The company has implemented an environmental management system and is committed to the ecological, economic and social sustainability of the production process.
