Cavalchina
The Cavalchina winery, located in the picturesque Veneto region of northeast Italy, has earned a well-deserved reputation for its outstanding wines. The history of Cavalchina dates back to 1900, when the Piona family acquired the winery and built it into one of the most renowned producers in the region with great passion and dedication. Cavalchina is located in Custoza, a charming sub-region of the province of Verona, which is particularly known for its white wines.
The winery is spread over 40 hectares of first-class vineyards, which are situated on the rolling hills surrounding the estate. The soils are calcareous and well-drained, which offers the vines ideal growing conditions and gives the wines a special minerality.
Under the leadership of the Piona family, Cavalchina has always made sure to combine traditional winemaking practices with modern techniques. This is reflected in the high quality and unique character of the wines, which are created through careful handwork in the vineyard and innovative methods in the cellar.
Cavalchina is particularly known for its excellent white wines, including Custoza DOC, which impresses with its freshness, elegance and fine fruit aromas. Custoza Superiore Amedeo, named after Prince Amedeo of Savoy, is a particularly outstanding wine from the estate, which impresses with its complexity and depth. Red wines, such as Bardolino and Bardolino Superiore, are also of exceptional quality and reflect the terroir and passion of the winemakers.
