Bordiga

From the outset, the distillery relied on carefully selected raw materials and traditional production methods to preserve the distinctive character and quality of its products.

The history of the Bordiga distillery begins in 1888 in Saluzzo, a town in the Piedmont region of northwestern Italy. Founded by Carlo Bordiga, the company set out from the very beginning to produce high-quality spirits based on traditional Italian recipes. Bordiga soon became especially renowned for its anise-based spirits, including sambuca, as well as for herbal and liqueur specialties. From the outset, the distillery relied on carefully selected raw materials and traditional production methods to preserve the distinctive character and quality of its products.
During the 20th century, Bordiga expanded its range and consolidated its reputation as a premium producer of liqueurs and spirits. The brand gained recognition not only in Italy but also internationally. Its artisanal production and the clear, aromatic profiles of its liqueurs set Bordiga apart from industrial producers. Despite increasing international competition, Bordiga remained true to its philosophy: quality, authenticity, and the preservation of traditional recipes have always been at the forefront.
Today Bordiga stands as a synonym for Italian spirits tradition and high-quality liqueurs. Its portfolio includes, in addition to sambuca, grappas, amari, herbal liqueurs, and bitters. Bordiga spirits are exported worldwide but continue to enjoy the reputation of artisanal quality. The company combines traditional production methods with modern standards to ensure both authenticity and consistency. In this way, Bordiga represents a prime example of an Italian family business that has preserved its roots over generations while achieving global success.
