The history of Fratelli Branca begins in 1845 in Milan, Italy, when Giuseppe Branca developed a unique herbal liqueur called Fernet Branca. Inspired by traditional herbal medicine recipes, he combined over 27 different herbs, spices, and plant extracts, including myrrh, rhubarb, chamomile, and saffron, to create a distinctive digestif. The recipe was strictly secret and quickly made Fernet Branca known throughout Italy.
