The Walcher Distillery is a traditional, family-run distillery from South Tyrol, Italy, renowned for its high-quality fruit brandies, grappa, and liqueurs. The company’s history began in 1966, when Alfons Walcher established the first distillation facility at the Turmbachhof in Eppan on the Wine Road. The estate has been owned by the Walcher family for nine generations.
In its early years, the distillery focused on producing grappa and fruit brandies from locally sourced fruits. Over time, Walcher expanded its range to include a variety of liqueurs, including apricot, raspberry, and walnut liqueurs, as well as herbal bitters such as the Schwedenbitter Platin. Particularly noteworthy is the organic line Biostilla, which uses certified organic raw materials and has been awarded the Bioland seal.
Today, the Walcher Distillery produces over one million bottles annually and exports its products worldwide. The distillery places great emphasis on sustainability and uses only fully ripe, healthy fruits, preferably from local cultivation. The combination of traditional craftsmanship and innovative techniques has made Walcher an internationally recognized producer of premium spirits and liqueurs.
