Radoarhof

Since 1997, Radoarhof has been managed according to biodynamic principles.

The Radoarhof is located in the picturesque town of Feldthurns (Italian: Velturno) in the Eisack Valley, South Tyrol, at an altitude of approximately 850 m above sea level. The name “Radoar” comes from Romansh and means “disk” or “round field,” reflecting the cycle of nature and a close connection to the earth. The farm was first mentioned in documents around the year 1300, making it a significant piece of the region’s history.
Since 1997, Radoarhof has been managed according to biodynamic principles. Under the leadership of Edith and Norbert Blasbichler, work is carried out in harmony with nature: following lunar phases, using herbal teas, and relying exclusively on natural yeasts. This philosophy is reflected in the quality of the products and contributes to the preservation of biodiversity in the region.
Today, Radoarhof is one of the highest vineyards in South Tyrol, renowned for its high-quality wines and premium distillates. On the steep, sun-exposed slopes, vines such as Müller Thurgau, Kerner, Zweigelt, and Pinot Noir thrive, carefully processed with dedication in the estate’s cellar. Some of the wines are aged in large oak barrels, showcasing minerality, freshness, and expressiveness.
In addition to winemaking, Radoarhof operates an artisan distillery, producing fine fruit brandies and grappa. The fruits come directly from the farm and are processed by hand using traditional methods – from tree to bottle. Products such as domestic plums, chestnuts, quinces, and apple brandy reflect the diversity and quality offered by the estate.
The farm is also a popular destination for guided tours, giving visitors an authentic insight into life on a biodynamic farm. Regional specialties are served in the buschenschank, and products can be purchased directly in the farm shop. Radoarhof is situated along the Eisack Valley Chestnut Trail, a hiking path renowned for its chestnut groves.
