Bordiga

From the very beginning, the distillery focused on carefully selected raw materials and traditional production methods to ensure the distinctive character and quality of its products.

The history of the Bordiga distillery begins in 1888 in Saluzzo, a town in the Piedmont region of northwest Italy. Founded by Carlo Bordiga, the company from the start aimed to produce high-quality spirits based on traditional Italian recipes. Bordiga became especially known for its anise-based spirits, including Sambuca, as well as for herbal and liqueur specialties. From the very beginning, the distillery focused on carefully selected raw materials and traditional production methods to ensure the distinctive character and quality of its products.
Throughout the 20th century, Bordiga expanded its product range and strengthened its reputation as a premium producer of liqueurs and spirits. The brand gained recognition not only in Italy but also internationally. In particular, the artisanal production and the clear, aromatic profiles of its liqueurs set Bordiga apart from industrial producers. Despite growing international competition, Bordiga has remained faithful to its philosophy: quality, authenticity, and the preservation of traditional recipes have always been paramount.
Today, Bordiga is synonymous with Italian spirit traditions and high-quality liqueurs. Its product range includes, in addition to Sambuca, Grappa, Amari, herbal liqueurs, and bitters. Bordiga spirits are exported worldwide while maintaining their reputation for artisanal excellence. The company combines traditional production methods with modern standards to ensure both authenticity and consistency. Bordiga is a prime example of an Italian family business that has preserved its roots over generations while achieving global success.
