Kahlúa is made from 100 % Arabica coffee beans, sugarcane rum, and vanilla. The production process can take up to 7 years, as the coffee beans are grown under shaded conditions in Veracruz and dried for months after harvest.

Since 2005, Kahlúa has been part of the Pernod Ricard Group, one of the largest spirits companies worldwide. Under Pernod Ricard’s management, the brand has been modernized and now emphasizes its commitment to sustainability. Through the “Coffee for Good” project, Kahlúa works with local communities in Veracruz to ensure that 100 % of the coffee used comes from sustainable cultivation.
