The Passoã brand was launched in 1986 by the French spirits producer Rémy Cointreau. Inspired by a distiller’s trip to Brazil, where he discovered the flavors of passion fruit, the idea for this fruity liqueur was born. Passoã was deliberately developed with a moderate alcohol content to suit modern drinking habits. The original Passoã contains passion fruit juice from Brazil as well as fruit and herbal extracts.

In 2016, Passoã S.A.S. was established as a joint venture between Lucas Bols and Rémy Cointreau to further develop the brand and distribute it globally. Today, Passoã is known and popular worldwide, particularly in cocktails such as the Pornstar Martini, and is offered in a variety of flavors, including mango, pineapple, and coconut.

The distinctive black bottle and the bright red color of the liqueur make Passoã a striking addition to any bar. With an alcohol content of 17 % vol., Passoã is suitable both for enjoying neat and as a base for numerous cocktail creations.
