The Margaux 1.GCC 2022 – Château Margaux is one of the world’s most iconic wines and, as a Premier Grand Cru Classé (1.GCC) since the 1855 classification, represents the absolute pinnacle of Bordeaux. The estate is one of the historic First Growths and embodies the elegance and finesse of the Margaux appellation like few others. The 2022 vintage is composed of 92% Cabernet Sauvignon, 6% Merlot, and 2% Cabernet Franc, a particularly classic blend with an exceptionally high Cabernet proportion. On Margaux’s deep gravel soils, Cabernet Sauvignon develops wines of remarkable precision, floral refinement, and outstanding aging potential. The wine is traditionally aged for 18–24 months in new French oak barriques.

In the glass, it shows a deep, intense ruby-red color. The nose is exceptionally layered and noble, with aromas of cassis, blackberry, dark cherry, and delicate violet notes, accompanied by fine spice, graphite, and subtle toasted nuances. On the palate, it is powerful yet perfectly silky, with dense fruit, ultra-fine tannins, and remarkable freshness. The finish is extraordinarily long, precise, and elegant.
