The Monferrato Rosso DOC Il Bacialé 2020 from Braida is an exceptional wine that is characterized by its rich aromas and harmonious structure. In the glass, it shows an intense ruby red with a slightly brightening edge. The bouquet seduces with ripe blackberries and sour cherries, complemented by spicy notes reminiscent of cinnamon. On the palate, it is well balanced, with fine-grained tannins and an elegant, long-lasting finish.
This wine consists of a carefully selected blend of Barbera, Pinot Nero, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc. Barbera, the main grape variety, brings in lively acidity and juicy fruitiness, while the other varieties add depth, complexity and structure. Monferrato Rosso Il Bacialé grows on calcareous clay soils, which give it its mineral note. The vine cultivation system is Guyot, which enables controlled yield regulation and maximizes the quality of the grapes.
A special feature of this wine is its careful aging: Il Bacialé is aged in small oak barrels, which gives it additional finesse and a soft tannin structure. The 2020 vintage is characterized by ideal weather conditions, which have led to optimal ripeness of the grapes.
