The Riesling DOC “R” 2024 from Köfererhof Estate is a precise and authentic expression of Riesling from the Isarco Valley, one of Alto Adige’s most historic and distinctive wine-growing areas. Köfererhof is among the oldest wineries in the region, with more than 1,000 years of history, and is renowned for producing crisp, mineral-driven white wines that reflect the alpine character of its high-altitude vineyards. The grapes for the “R” come from carefully tended sites around Novacella and Vahrn, where elevation, soil composition, and the local microclimate create ideal conditions for aromatic, ripe, and finely structured Riesling.
In the glass, this Riesling shows a bright straw-yellow colour with subtle green reflections, typical of a young and vibrant wine. On the nose, it delivers a clean and refreshing profile with hints of ripe peach and tropical fruit notes, supported by a mineral, almost stony edge that adds depth and definition. On the palate, the “R” impresses with lively freshness, pronounced minerality, and an elegant acid structure that brings tension, clarity, and length.
Vinification in stainless steel with brief lees contact helps preserve the pure fruit expression and the wine’s mineral backbone. The result is a Riesling that feels both fresh and structured, finishing long and refined—leaving you ready for the next sip.
