The Radikon Slatnik 2023 is an outstanding orange wine from Friuli, perfectly reflecting the natural winemaking philosophy of the Radikon estate. This cuvée is made from 80% Chardonnay and 20% Friulano.
In the glass, it reveals a bright golden yellow hue. On the nose, it offers intense aromas of ripe yellow fruits such as peach and apricot, complemented by subtle resinous notes. On the palate, it is full-bodied and complex, with a harmonious balance of freshness and fine tannins, the result of skin maceration. A saline undertone adds further depth and length to the wine.
The production process is entirely artisanal: hand-harvested grapes are destemmed and undergo 8 to 14 days of skin contact in wooden vats. The wine is then aged for one year in large oak barrels and spends a minimum of four months in the bottle before release.
