The Pecorino DOC Comes 2024 by Saladini Pilastri is an expressive white wine from the Marche region, located along Italy’s central Adriatic coast, known for its indigenous grape varieties and fresh, terroir-driven wines. The historic Saladini Pilastri estate combines tradition with modern winemaking techniques, placing strong emphasis on sustainability.
The Pecorino grape has experienced a remarkable renaissance and is now considered one of Central Italy’s most exciting white varieties. It is distinguished by natural freshness, aromatic intensity and pronounced minerality. The vineyards benefit from the Adriatic climate and the rolling inland hills, where significant temperature variations enhance aromatic development.
In the glass, it displays a clear, pale straw-yellow colour with greenish reflections. The nose reveals aromas of white flowers, citrus fruits and yellow apple, complemented by delicate herbal nuances. On the palate, the wine is fresh, vibrant and harmonious, with well-integrated acidity, a mineral core and a pleasantly long, clean finish. A versatile wine with strong regional character.
