The Blauburgunder DOC Mazon 2023 from Castelfeder is a textbook expression of the elegance and finesse for which the Mazon plateau is internationally renowned. Cool nights combined with optimal sun exposure give this Pinot Noir remarkable aromatic depth and precision. In the glass, it shows a bright ruby-red color. The bouquet reveals refined aromas of ripe cherries, raspberries, and forest berries, complemented by subtle hints of violet, alpine herbs, and a touch of mineral spice. On the palate, the wine is beautifully balanced: juicy fruit, lively yet elegant acidity, and fine, perfectly integrated tannins provide structure and length. The texture is silky, with a fresh, clean, and persistent finish. A characterful yet highly approachable Pinot Noir that authentically reflects its Mazon origin. An excellent match for veal, fine poultry, mushroom-based dishes, or aged soft cheeses—while also a pure pleasure to enjoy on its own for lovers of elegant red wines.
