The Gewürztraminer DOC Eisack Valley 2024 from Köfererhof is a characterful South Tyrolean white wine from the northern Eisack Valley. The steep vineyards around Neustift near Brixen are rooted in mineral-rich soils and benefit from significant temperature differences between warm days and cool nights. These conditions encourage slow ripening and preserve the grapes’ aromatic intensity. Köfererhof is regarded as one of the quality-focused estates of the region, known for precise, terroir-driven white wines with a clear stylistic profile. Gewürztraminer is one of Europe’s most aromatic white grape varieties and originates from South Tyrol. In the cooler climate of the Eisack Valley, it shows particular refinement, combining aromatic intensity with structural clarity. In the glass, it displays a deep straw yellow colour with golden reflections. The nose reveals classic aromas of rose petals, lychee and exotic fruit, supported by subtle spice notes. On the palate, it is aromatic and full-bodied, with well-integrated acidity, delicate minerality and a long, elegant finish.
