The Lemme Lemme Rosso IGT 2023 from Buondonno Estate comes from Castellina in Chianti in the heart of Tuscany. The vineyards grow on calcareous clay soils rich in stones, conditions that contribute to wines with structure, freshness and a clear sense of place. Buondonno is a small family-run estate that follows a traditional and environmentally conscious approach in both vineyard and cellar. Fermentation takes place with native yeasts and a relatively long maceration on the skins. The wine then matures for about one year in ceramic vessels, helping preserve the purity of fruit and the natural expression of the wine.

The blend is based mainly on Sangiovese, complemented by Canaiolo, Colorino and Malvasia Nera. Sangiovese is the most important grape variety in Tuscany and is known for its lively acidity, red fruit aromas and elegant structure. Canaiolo adds softness and balance, while Colorino contributes deeper color and intensity. Malvasia Nera brings additional aromatic complexity and subtle spicy notes.

In the glass the wine shows a bright ruby red color with slight garnet reflections. The nose reveals ripe red fruits, floral nuances and delicate spicy and mineral hints. On the palate it is balanced and smooth, with flavors of cherry and red berries, soft tannins and a fresh, elegant finish.
