Il Secondo Bianco is an elegant white cuvée from the historic Peter Sölva & Söhne Estate in Kaltern, South Tyrol. The family winery is among the oldest wine estates in the region and has been producing precise, terroir-driven wines for generations. The grapes for this cuvée come from selected vineyards in the Überetsch area, where alpine climate conditions and mineral soils create ideal circumstances for aromatic white wines. The aim of this wine is a harmonious and approachable style with clear fruit expression and lively freshness. The blend consists of 50 % Pinot Blanc, 40 % Chardonnay and 10 % Sauvignon Blanc. Each grape variety contributes its strengths: Pinot Bianco provides elegance and structure, Chardonnay adds roundness and ripe fruit, while Sauvignon Blanc contributes freshness and aromatic lift. Together they create a balanced white wine with precise structure and subtle minerality. In the glass the wine shows a pale straw-yellow color. The bouquet is fresh and fruit-driven with aromas of ripe pear, citrus and delicate exotic hints. On the palate the cuvée is lively and harmonious, with juicy fruit, fine minerality and balanced structure. The finish is fresh and elegant, making the wine a versatile partner for light appetizers, fish dishes and Mediterranean cuisine.
