Pessac-Léognan produces 10 million bottles of red and white wine on 1600 hectares, mainly from Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Sauvignon Blanc.

Pessac-Léognan is a renowned wine region in Bordeaux, known for their elegant, classic Bordeaux red wines and full-bodied, dry white wines. With 1600 hectares of vineyards and annual production of around 10 million bottles, Cabernet Sauvignon grape varieties dominate, Merlot and Sauvignon Blanc. The region has a rich history dating back to dates back to 1550, when Château Haut-Brion, the first wine castle the world that was founded. The soils consist of gravel, clay, sand and lime, and the climate is influenced by the nearby Garonne.
