Prunotto
The Prunotto winery, led by the Antinori family, represents the heart and soul of Piedmontese winemaking. Originally founded in 1904 as “Cantina Sociale Ai Vini delle Langhe”, Alfredo Prunotto took over the winery after the First World War and established it as a major exporter of Barolo and Barbaresco. In the 1990s, the Antinori family came into play, first as distribution partners, later as owners, to further develop the quality and heritage of the winery.
The Prunotto winery is located in Alba, in the middle of the Langhe, one of the most renowned wine-growing regions in Italy, between the areas of Barolo and Barbaresco. With around 65 hectares spread across the Langhe and Monferrato, Prunotto is known for its diverse terroir interpretation. The vineyards are divided into small plots to capture the unique characteristics of each plot, allowing for a variety of wine styles — from elegant Nebbiolo-based wines such as Barolo and Barbaresco to white wines such as Moscato d'Asti and Arneis.
Prunotto wines tell the story of the Langhe and its exceptional quality. Thanks to the careful management of the vineyards and the dedication to precision craftsmanship, Prunotto is now a symbol of the perfect balance of past, present and future in the Piedmontese wine world.
