The Pfannenstielhof is a traditional family business in South Tyrol, which has been run by the Pfeifer family since 1816 and looks back on a long history. The farm was mentioned in documents as early as 1561, and since then, through vision and courage, it has developed into an hereditary farm over seven generations. The Pfannenstielhof combines traditional values with modern wine-growing techniques and places great value on maintaining and preserving the terroir.
Johannes Pfeifer has been passionately managing the vineyard and cellar for almost five decades, while Margareth pulls the strings to ensure that the wine brings as much joy to consumers as it does to the family. Veronika, after studying oenology and experience at home and abroad, enriches the company with her expertise. Anna's support completes the family business.
The Pfannenstielhof vineyards are located in the Bolzano valley, where warm sunny days meet cool nights. These climatic conditions, together with a steady light wind, provide fresh, fruity aromas and healthy grapes. The Vernatsch and Lagrein grape varieties find ideal conditions here. The farm is characterized by moraine debris in the north and alluvial soils in the south.
