Kuenhof
Kuenhof is a historic winery in the Eisack Valley near Bressanone, with a history dating back to the 12th century. Owned by the Pliger family for generations, it combines a deep connection to the region with a clear commitment to authenticity and quality.
The steep terraced vineyards, situated between 550 and 890 meters above sea level, offer ideal conditions for distinctive white wines. Sylvaner, Riesling, Grüner Veltliner and Gewürztraminer thrive here, shaped by the alpine climate, poor soils and abundant sunshine to develop a unique character.
At Kuenhof, work follows a clear principle: in the vineyard, respect for nature and landscape comes first. The vines are carefully tended by hand, from pruning to harvest, to preserve the best possible quality. In the cellar, the Pliger family relies on modern, gentle methods that protect the authentic character of the grapes and bring out the individuality of each vintage.
This results in wines of great clarity and precision, uniting freshness, minerality and elegance, while carrying the unmistakable signature of the Eisack Valley – authentic, distinctive and unique.
