The Gewürztraminer “RF” 2023 from Roberto Ferrari’s RF Selection Series is an intense, characterful white wine that showcases the distinctive aromatic profile of this historic grape variety. The fruit comes from the area of Tramin, the traditional birthplace of Gewürztraminer, situated at around 280 meters altitude. Clay-rich soils and a warm local climate promote optimal aroma development. The RF line represents carefully selected wines that clearly express the winemaker’s signature and the essence of the terroir. During vinification, the wine spends an extended period on the skins and then matures in tonneaux and clay amphorae, gaining structure, depth and a refined texture while preserving its natural fruit and expressive aromatics. In the glass, it displays a bright, pale golden color. The nose is intense and aromatic, highlighting exotic fruit, rose petals, nutmeg and floral nuances. On the palate it is dry, full-bodied and elegant, with balanced acidity, dense aromatics and a long, harmonious finish. A powerful yet refined Gewürztraminer that clearly reflects the RF identity.
