The Pinot Noir Riserva DOC Vinschgau 2023 from Joamoar originates from the high-altitude Val Venosta in South Tyrol, one of the most distinctive and extreme wine-growing areas in the Alps. A dry climate, intense sunlight, and strong day-night temperature variations create wines of remarkable precision and elegance.
In this region, Pinot Noir is a demanding grape variety that develops a unique style: cool-climate, refined, and marked by pronounced minerality. The altitude ensures slow ripening, preserving acidity and allowing complex aromas to evolve.
The Riserva designation indicates extended aging and stricter quality standards, giving the wine greater depth, structure, and ageing potential while maintaining freshness.
In the glass, it shows a clear ruby red color. The nose reveals aromas of red berries, cherry, and subtle spice, with a delicate mineral note. On the palate, it is elegant and balanced, with fine-grained tannins and lively acidity. The finish is long, precise, and defined by fresh fruit and gentle spice.
