The Gavi di Gavi DOCG Minaia 2025 by Nicola Bergaglio is an expressive white wine from the heart of Piedmont, produced from a historic single vineyard located above the estate. The “Gavi di Gavi” appellation is one of Northern Italy’s most prestigious white wine origins, renowned for elegant, mineral-driven wines with a strong sense of place. This wine is made exclusively from Cortese, the traditional grape variety of the Gavi area. It is precisely around Gavi that Cortese reveals its finest character: the calcareous clay soils and the air currents influenced by nearby Liguria give the wine remarkable freshness, precision and a distinctive saline touch. The variety has been deeply rooted in this region for centuries and is highly regarded for its ability to combine finesse, minerality and excellent ageing potential.

The Minaia vineyard is considered one of the most distinctive crus within the DOCG. In the glass, it shows a pale straw yellow colour with greenish reflections. The bouquet opens with citrus notes, yellow plum and white flowers, complemented by hints of sage, thyme and fresh almond. On the palate, it is juicy, precise and elegant, with fine minerality, lively acidity and a long, harmonious finish defined by freshness and delicate spice.
