The Passito di Pantelleria DOP Ben Ryé 2023 from Donnafugata is a jewel-like wine that comes from the picturesque island of Pantelleria, in the sunny southwest of Sicily. Its grape, the Zibibbo (Moscato di Alessandria), is cultivated on Pantelleria, where it is nurtured by the warm sun and the cooling sea breezes. This harmonious interplay of natural factors shapes the unique character of this sweet nectar.
The intense aromas of Ben Ryé tell the story of its origin: a gentle breeze of exotic fruits, seductive honey, and a hint of spices envelop the senses, taking you on a journey through the sun-drenched vineyards of Pantelleria.
After careful selection and meticulous processing of the grapes, the Ben Ryé matures for 13-14 months in new French oak barrels, followed by an additional 24 months of aging in the bottle, allowing it to develop its full harmony.
This delicious dessert wine is not only a perfect companion for dried fruits, chocolate, and aged cheeses, but it is also a true delight for the senses when enjoyed on its own. A moment of meditation, unfolding in a universe of sweet sensations and unmatched aromas - the Passito di Pantelleria DOP Ben Ryé is a true treasure of the Sicilian wine world.
