The Pinot Grigio DOC 2025 from Köfererhof comes from the Valle Isarco, one of South Tyrol’s most renowned and highest-altitude white wine regions. The vineyards are located at around 650 meters above sea level on mineral-rich moraine soils composed of sand and gravel. The Alpine climate, with warm days and cool nights, allows the grapes to ripen slowly, giving the wine freshness and remarkable elegance. The grapes are harvested by hand and carefully vinified to preserve both the varietal character and the expression of their origin. The wine is aged primarily in stainless steel tanks, with a small portion matured in large oak casks, creating a harmonious balance between fruit and minerality.
In the glass, it displays a pale straw-yellow color with subtle greenish reflections. The bouquet reveals aromas of pear, citrus fruits, and delicate floral notes, complemented by a subtle mineral nuance. On the palate, it is dry, fresh, and well-balanced, with lively acidity, pleasing texture, and a long, fruit-driven finish.
