The wine is made entirely from Vernatsch (Schiava), an indigenous grape variety valued for its freshness, lightness and aromatic elegance. The grapes come from selected vineyards in the Merano area, where the alpine climate, with warm days and cool nights, supports balanced ripening and vibrant acidity. Vinification is carried out gently to preserve the grape’s varietal character and finesse. As part of the “Graf von Meran” line, this wine represents a carefully selected range that highlights typicity, drinkability and regional elegance. In the glass, the 2024 vintage displays a bright ruby-red colour with light reflections. On the nose, it reveals a refined and clearly defined aromatic profile with notes of red cherry, raspberry and subtle hints of almond, complemented by delicate floral nuances. On the palate, the Vernatsch is light, well-balanced and harmonious, with moderate acidity, soft tannins and a juicy texture.
