The Franciacorta Extra Brut DOCG “Alma Assemblage 2” from Bellavista is an outstanding sparkling wine from the renowned Lombard appellation of Franciacorta, produced according to the traditional Metodo Classico with secondary fermentation in the bottle. This cuvée is crafted from a careful blend of 86% Chardonnay, 13% Pinot Noir and 1% Pinot Bianco, with grapes sourced from approximately 60–75 selected vineyard parcels within the area. The partial use of reserve wines from previous vintages and an ageing period of at least 30 months on the lees give this Franciacorta depth, complexity and harmony. In the glass, Alma Assemblage 2 shows a bright straw-yellow colour with a fine and persistent perlage. The bouquet is elegant and expressive, featuring notes of white flowers, fresh citrus, hints of brioche and a delicate mineral undertone. On the palate, it impresses with harmonious freshness, a creamy texture and a well-balanced interplay of fruit, acidity and structure, making it a versatile companion at the table.
