The Brunello di Montalcino DOCG Cielo d'Ulisse 2020 from Podere le Ripi is an outstanding wine that perfectly captures the essence of Montalcino's terroir. The wine is bright ruby red. On the nose, it develops a complex bouquet of small black and red fruits, complemented by subtle notes of blackberries and a subtle sea breeze. On the palate, the Cielo d'Ulisse is powerful and dynamic, with a balanced structure, fine tannins and a long, elegant finish

This Brunello is made from 100% Sangiovese grapes, which grow on the limestone and clay soils of the western slopes of Montalcino. These soils, rich in slate and sediment, give the wine its characteristic minerality. The Mediterranean climate with hot summers and mild winters offers ideal conditions for ripening the grapes. The vineyards are cultivated using the Spurred Cordon system, which ensures optimal

grape quality.

The special feature of Cielo d'Ulisse lies in its biodynamic production. The wine is fermented in open wooden vats for 20 days, with 80% of the fermentation taking place with open flaps and the remaining 20% using the Piedmontese method (infusion). The wine is then aged for 30 months in large oak barrels and a further 12 months in cement tanks, giving it additional depth

and complexity.

Bright ruby red with a delicate brightening edge. On the nose for dried herbs, leather, ripe raspberries, cranberries and a slight spiciness. Compact on the palate, with a creamy texture and slightly grippy tannin, plus nice juiciness and ripe fruit, it vibrates delicately.
