The Chianti Superiore DOCG Santa Cristina 2024 comes from Tuscany and is produced by the Antinori family, one of the most historic and renowned wine producers in Italy. The Santa Cristina estate was founded in 1946 and represents authentic Tuscan wines known for balance, drinkability and a strong connection to the region. The grapes come from carefully selected vineyards and are harvested with great attention. After vinification, the wine matures for several months in oak barrels and later in bottle, allowing it to develop harmony, structure and aromatic complexity.
The blend is based mainly on Sangiovese, complemented by a small proportion of Merlot. Sangiovese is the most important red grape of Tuscany and contributes lively acidity, structure and typical aromas of cherry and red berries. Merlot adds softness, roundness and smoother tannins, giving the wine a balanced and approachable style.
In the glass the wine shows a ruby red color with violet reflections. The bouquet reveals aromas of ripe red fruits such as cherry and plum, accompanied by subtle spicy notes and a hint of vanilla. On the palate it is well balanced and smooth, with soft tannins, juicy fruit and a harmonious, persistent finish.
