The Chardonnay DOC Marna 2025 from Girlan Winery originates from selected vineyards located in South Tyrol’s higher-altitude growing areas. The vines are planted on limestone-rich and mineral-rich soils that give the wine its distinctive character and elegant structure. The combination of sunny days, cool nights and unique geological conditions promotes slow ripening, resulting in a harmonious balance between fruit and freshness.
The name “Marna” refers to the marl soils that are characteristic of these vineyard sites and play an important role in shaping the wine’s minerality and precision. The winemaking approach focuses on highlighting both the origin and varietal character of Chardonnay while preserving its natural elegance.
In the glass, it displays a bright straw-yellow colour. The bouquet reveals aromas of ripe apple, pear and citrus fruits, complemented by delicate floral notes and subtle mineral nuances. On the palate, it is fresh and balanced, featuring harmonious structure, elegant acidity and refined minerality. The long finish is marked by lingering fruit and mineral notes that underline the finesse of this South Tyrolean Chardonnay.
