The winery cultivates a broad range of grape varieties typical of South Tyrol. Important white varieties include Sauvignon Blanc, Gewürztraminer, Pinot Grigio, Pinot Blanc and Chardonnay. The range is complemented by red varieties such as Lagrein, Schiava (Vernatsch) and Pinot Noir, which achieve excellent ripeness in the warmer vineyards around Appiano.
Internationally, the winery is particularly known for the Sanct Valentin line, one of the most prestigious wine series in South Tyrol. These wines originate from carefully selected vineyard sites and are produced with great attention to detail. They are known for their precise fruit expression, structure and ageing potential. The Sanct Valentin Sauvignon Blanc is widely regarded as one of the benchmark wines of the region.
Alongside this flagship range, the winery also produces the Fallwind series, which highlights the character of individual grape varieties in a clear and accessible style. These wines combine a modern interpretation with the distinctive character of South Tyrol. The highest quality tier of the winery is represented by the "The Wine Collection" line. Within this collection, particularly selective wines are produced from carefully chosen vineyard sites and parcels. Among them are a Sauvignon and a Pinot Noir Riserva, which are vinified with great care and matured over an extended period.
Through meticulous vineyard work, selective harvesting and careful vinification, the St. Michael-Eppan Winery has built a strong international reputation. The wines reflect both the diversity of South Tyrolean grape varieties and the unique conditions of the vineyards around Appiano.
