The 2021 Spätburgunder Schlossberg Großes Gewächs from Weingut Rudolf Fürst shows a clear, bright ruby red. On the nose, it unfolds a complex bouquet of ripe red berries such as cherry and raspberry, complemented by floral notes of violet and a fine spiciness. On the palate, the wine is elegant and silky, with supple tannins, lively acidity, and a long, harmonious finish. The Spätburgunder grape, internationally known as Pinot Noir, is distinguished by its finesse and complexity. Typical of this variety are aromas of red fruits, floral notes, and an elegant structure.

The Schlossberg vineyard in Klingenberg am Main is famous for its steep terraces with weathered red sandstone soils. These geological features lend the wine its distinctive minerality and finesse. The steep slopes and mild climate of the Main Valley promote slow, even ripening of the grapes, resulting in exceptional elegance. The VDP.Großes Gewächs (GG) classification designates dry wines from Germany’s finest vineyards, with outstanding ageing potential. These wines follow strict quality standards and represent the pinnacle of German winemaking culture.
