The St. Magdalener “Isarcus 2023” from Griesbauerhof shows a deep ruby-red color with subtle garnet reflections — a classic appearance for this South Tyrolean Vernatsch. On the nose, the wine displays a fruity-spicy bouquet, evoking ripe red berries — such as wild cranberries — complemented by floral violet notes. On the palate, Isarcus offers a dense, velvety texture with good structure and smooth elegance. It is full-bodied, well-balanced, fruit-driven, with soft tannins and a pleasant mouthfeel. This wine is versatile and ideal for many occasions — from casual dinners to more formal meals.
