The Chardonnay DOC 2024 from Laimburg Estate is a classic white wine from South Tyrol, expressing a clear and fruit-driven regional style. The grapes come from vineyards around Caldaro at approximately 350 meters above sea level, on moraine gravel soils that are ideal for Chardonnay cultivation. Ageing takes place mainly in stainless steel with around four months on fine lees, preserving freshness, structure and aromatic precision. Chardonnay is one of the most important international grape varieties in South Tyrol, where it develops a fresher and more mineral-driven style compared to warmer regions. The altitude and alpine climate contribute to lively acidity and precise aromatics. In the glass, it shows a pale straw yellow color. On the nose, it reveals delicate fruity aromas of banana and pear. On the palate, it is well-structured and juicy, with lively acidity and harmonious balance. The finish is dry, clean and persistent, marked by freshness and elegance.
