The Rosso Toscana IGT “Palazzi” 2023 comes from Tenuta di Trinoro, one of Tuscany’s most exciting and uncompromising estates. The winery is renowned for dense, precise reds with a strong identity and rigorous work both in the vineyard and in the cellar. “Palazzi” is the estate’s most approachable wine, yet it remains unmistakably Trinoro in style: structured, focused and genuinely deep.

The 2023 vintage gives “Palazzi” a particularly vibrant and fresh expression. The fruit is clear and juicy, while the structure stays firm and sharply defined. In this vintage, the wine delivers plenty of energy and drive without losing concentration—ideal for those looking for the Trinoro signature with more immediate drinkability.

Made from 100% Merlot, “Palazzi” is built around dark, ripe fruit and a supple yet precise texture. Merlot brings not only richness, but also an elegant roundness that makes the wine enjoyable early on, without ever feeling simple.

In the glass, the 2023 shows a deep ruby colour with subtle violet hints. On the nose, blackberry, black cherry and plum take the lead, supported by fine spice, a touch of cocoa and gently integrated toasted notes. On the palate, it is juicy, dense and clearly structured, with ripe, well-integrated tannins and a freshness that carries the dark fruit with precision. The finish is medium-long to long, elegant, with a refined, lightly spicy echo.

The Tenuta di Trinoro 2021 Palazzi is 100% Merlot, although this vintage feels especially dark and brooding, pushing this often-docile grape to extreme limits. The wine taste ripe but not excessively so, although the 15.5% alcohol content is impossible to ignore. To the palate, the wine is velvety and rich, and you get intense end notes of blackberry, creme de cassis and dark spice. Everything is well integrated, but nothing is understated.

Deep dark ruby purple with a black core. Very fine and memorable nose, shows notes of dark chocolate, cassis, rich blackberry, delicate tobacco notes in the background. Fiery and full-bodied on the palate, lots of ripe fruit paired with densely meshed, very well-integrated tannin, robust finish.
