The Cabernet Istrice DOC 2024 is part of the Favorites line by Elena Walch and represents an elegant, character-driven red wine that beautifully combines tradition with refined South Tyrolean style. The name “Istrice,” inspired by the porcupines living in the park of the historic estate, symbolizes personality, strength and distinctive character. This cuvée blends Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc, two classic Bordeaux varieties that together provide depth, structure and aromatic complexity. In the glass, it reveals an intense, deep garnet-red colour. The nose offers inviting aromas of red forest berries and cherry, complemented by refined spicy notes of white pepper and subtle hints of chocolate. On the palate, it impresses with precise, elegant tannins, ripe fruit and well-integrated freshness that adds length and tension. The finish is expressive, velvety and persistent.
