The Darmagi Langhe DOP Rosso 2022 from Gaja is one of the winery’s most iconic single-vineyard wines and is made from Cabernet Sauvignon. The vineyards are located in the Langhe, where this international grape variety has been successfully cultivated for decades. Warm daytime temperatures and cool nights allow the grapes to ripen fully, while the soils contribute to structure and depth. In this setting, Cabernet Sauvignon develops a distinctive style that stands apart from the region’s traditional varieties.

Darmagi represents the meeting point between an international grape and the Piedmontese terroir. Careful vineyard work and precise vinification highlight the character of the site, resulting in a wine with structure, depth, and strong aging potential. In the glass, it shows an intense ruby red color. On the nose, it reveals aromas of blackcurrant and dark berries, accompanied by hints of spice, tobacco, and herbs. On the palate, it is powerful yet elegant, with dense tannins, well-balanced acidity, and a long, complex finish.
