The Blauburgunder (Pinot Noir) Riserva DOC Lahn 2023 from Bergmannhof in Eppan, along the South Tyrolean Wine Road, is an expressive Pinot Noir that clearly reflects the style and precision of this family-run estate. The grapes come from selected vineyard sites with limestone and gravel soils, providing structure and minerality. As a Riserva, the wine undergoes extended ageing, allowing it to develop greater depth, complexity and ageing potential. Following traditional fermentation on the skins, the wine is matured in wooden barrels and then further refined through bottle ageing to achieve harmony and balance. The Lahn Riserva stands for concentration, elegance and a finely tuned interplay of fruit, structure and freshness. In the glass, the wine shows a deep ruby red colour. On the nose, it reveals a complex bouquet of sour cherry, red berries and violet, complemented by subtle spicy and slightly earthy nuances. On the palate, the Blauburgunder is dense, elegant and well balanced, with well-integrated tannins, lively acidity and a long, finely structured finish.
