The Barbaresco DOCG “Bordini” 2023 by La Spinetta originates from the single vineyard of the same name in Neive, one of the most classic communes of the Barbaresco area. The vines grow on calcareous marl soils with sandy components and benefit from a southeast exposure, ensuring balanced ripening and aromatic precision.
The wine is made from 100% Nebbiolo, the flagship grape of Barbaresco. In this region, Nebbiolo tends to express a more refined and elegant style compared to Barolo, with floral aromas, pure fruit, and well-integrated tannins. Wines from Neive are particularly known for their approachability while maintaining excellent ageing potential.
Vinification is carried out under temperature-controlled conditions, followed by malolactic fermentation in wood and ageing in French oak barriques, enhancing structure and aromatic depth.
In the glass, it shows a bright ruby red colour. The nose reveals elegant aromas of raspberry and rose, complemented by subtle spicy notes. On the palate, it is fresh and harmonious, with red fruit, delicate spice, and fine tannins. The finish is long, precise, and marked by notable elegance.
