The Moscato d’Asti DOCG Biancospino from La Spinetta is a sweet, lightly sparkling white wine from Piedmont, expressing the typical aromatic profile of this traditional appellation with precision. The grapes come from vineyards in Coazzolo and Castagnole delle Lanze at around 300 meters above sea level, on calcareous soils with sandy components, ideal for developing aromatic freshness.
Vinification takes place in pressurized tanks at controlled temperature for about one month. Fermentation is stopped early, preserving natural residual sugar and resulting in a low alcohol content of around 5% vol. At the same time, the characteristic fine perlage develops, giving the wine its lively character.
Moscato plays a central role in the Asti area and produces particularly aromatic and elegant wines.
In the glass, it shows a pale straw yellow color. On the nose, it reveals intense aromas of white flowers, citrus and a hint of sage. On the palate, it is fresh and distinctly sweet, with notes of peach, mandarin and floral nuances, supported by fine perlage and lively acidity.
