The Paul Cuvée Red IGT 2025 from St Pauls Winery is an approachable and harmonious red wine from South Tyrol. The grapes come from various vineyards around Appiano in the Überetsch area, where the mild climate and morainic soils provide ideal conditions for growing different grape varieties. These conditions allow the winery to combine several varieties into a balanced cuvée. The wine is made from several red grape varieties, including Lagrein, Merlot and Pinot Noir (Blauburgunder). Lagrein is one of South Tyrol’s most important indigenous grape varieties and contributes colour and a spicy structure to the blend. Merlot provides soft fruit and a rounded texture, while Pinot Noir adds elegance and aromatic finesse. Together they create a harmonious red wine with a balanced character. Vinification takes place in stainless steel tanks in order to preserve the fresh fruit and clarity of aromas. In the glass the wine shows a bright ruby-red colour. The nose reveals aromas of red berries and cherries, accompanied by subtle spicy nuances. On the palate the cuvée is soft and round, with velvety tannins, fresh fruit and a harmonious finish.
