The Sauvignon IGT 2024 from Spitalerhof grows on the sunny slopes around Chiusa in the Eisack Valley on mineral-rich soils. The alpine climate, with warm days and cool nights, provides ideal conditions for Sauvignon, allowing the grape variety to develop a particularly aromatic and precise character at these elevations. Strong temperature differences between day and night enhance freshness, elegance and a clear structure. Careful hand harvesting and gentle cellar work preserve the authentic expression of both the grape variety and its origin.
In the glass, the wine shows a pale straw-yellow colour with light green reflections. The bouquet is intense and multi-layered, revealing aromas of elderflower, gooseberry, citrus fruits and delicate herbal nuances. On the palate, the Sauvignon is fresh, vibrant and mineral, supported by precise acidity and a long aromatic finish. Its elegant style and pure fruit expression make it a classic white wine from the Eisack Valley with distinctive alpine character.
