The Kerner DOC Puntscheit 2025 from Bolzano Winery is a captivating wine that reflects its distinctive character and unique terroir. In the glass, it shines with a bright straw yellow and greenish highlights, underscoring its freshness and vibrancy. The bouquet is intense, offering exotic notes of passion fruit and pineapple, complemented by elderflower and a hint of mint. On the palate, it is full-bodied and well-balanced, with lively acidity and a refined harmony between fruit and minerality. What makes this wine special is the use of the Kerner grape, a cross between Schiava and Riesling, perfectly suited to South Tyrol’s climate and soils. Produced by the renowned Bolzano Winery, it benefits from vineyards in a unique microclimate, where sunny days and cool nights provide the grapes with optimal ripening conditions.
