The St. Magdalener DOC Huck am Bach 2025 from Kellerei Bozen is an authentic expression of one of South Tyrol’s most renowned red wine appellations. The grapes ripen in the heart of the historic St. Magdalener zone above Bolzano, on gravelly hillside vineyards between 250 and 500 metres above sea level. This origin gives the wine its characteristic elegance, freshness and refined minerality. The traditional blend of Vernatsch and Lagrein is deeply rooted in the region: Vernatsch brings vibrant red fruit, floral finesse and signature drinkability, while Lagrein adds depth and structure. On the warm slopes of Santa Maddalena, this results in a beautifully balanced and terroir-driven red wine. In the glass, it shows a bright ruby-red colour. The bouquet reveals aromas of ripe cherries, violets and delicate almond notes. On the palate it is medium-bodied, smooth and fruit-forward, with elegant structure, gentle spice and a persistent finish.
